SAI Labs is thrilled to announce our newest digital product: the Easy Restaurant Menu Manager WordPress plugin.
The plugin is designed to make it simple for a restaurant owner to maintain their menu, which displays in a format that website visitors can easily read and use.
The Easy Restaurant Menu Manager plugin is available in free and extended versions. In just a few days of being available, the free version has been downloaded more than 100 times from the WordPress plugin directory, and we’re sure the $25 extended version will be a big hit for users who want some extra features.
So what does the plugin do? Here’s a rundown of features in the extended version (a few of these aren’t available in the free plugin):
- Put items into categories like appetizers, entrees or desserts — name them whatever you want — and set the order those categories should display in
- Include a description for each item, and decide whether or not you want to display the price
- Add CSS right from the plugin, without fiddling with theme files
- Attach pictures to each menu item
- Choose single-column or two-column layouts
- Add icons to dishes to show that an item is spicy, vegetarian, a speciality, etc. — even upload your own icons
- Create multiple menus
- Include a “print this menu” link that creates a print-friendly version of your menu
Our staff worked hard to make sure the plugin looks great and functions well in all WordPress themes. It was important that the menu match the rest of the site, using the site’s own colors, fonts and styles.

Hi – great plugin and loving the update benefits.
One issue though: on your demo page ( http://product-demos.saidigital.co/wp-restuarant-menu-manager/?page_id=27) the prices appear on the same line as the item name.
On my implementation, the price appears on the same line as the description – and with a lengthy description it tends to get obscured in the word-wrap. (http://www.theibar.co.uk/menu/)
Your example seems much more logical – could you suggest a reason why mine is behaving differently, please?
Thanks.
Hey Mike,
I believe it is caused by your cufon fonts.
Cufon fonts cause lots of problems, we try to avoid them and use services like Google Fonts instead.
is there currently any type of plugin to allow for payments or shopping cart insertion? I’d love to use this plugin, but then add an Add to Cart feature. Do you know of any current plugin that would integrate well with yours? Any assistance or direction would be greatly appreciated.
Hey Stockton,
The current plugin was not designed with this in mind.
If you need a shopping cart, you should use shopping cart software like Magento or some of the other Open Source packages.
Working on wp site using atahualpa theme. Not clear on how to insert plug in to the “Menu” page of my site. I’m very new at this…
Thanks
Hey Kathleen,
Create a page that you want to have a menu outputted on and then put the shortcode into the page.
How do I get the prices to appear on the same line as the menu item rather than in line with the description of that item? I am using the Atahualpa theme,
thanks
You may have a CSS conflict.
Post a link and we can help you debug.
I’m sure I need to upgrade to the extended version, but I wanted to see the menu appearance in our site before committing to the full version.
Perhaps I’m missing documentation that will allow me to stylize the menu; more attractively. New Menu is the free version of this plug in.
If there were an example of using custom css, I could replicate. Also, is it an ehancement to be able to show the following in prices “Each/1/2 Dozen/Dozen”. I do not see a method to label what each of the two prices is for.
Try the free version. You will have to adjust CSS depending on your theme.
